COMMUNITY WORK

DECEMBER 2024 - MAY 2025

Program Support and Operations Intern

Nurturely & Transponder are Eugene, Oregon based nonprofit organizations focused on reproductive wellness and family support where I facilitated “Tiny Human Survival,” a weekly course designed to create an inclusive, affirming space for all parents navigating early pregnancy and parenthood. This course has a particular focus on centering the role of the non-birthing parent as a traditionally unheard voice in reproductive wellness spaces. I also supported operations by scheduling and preparing for in-person events.

Doula Certification

SMC Full Circle Doulas‍ ‍is a doula training organization rooted in the teachings of 20th century African American midwifery traditions by honoring evidence-based practices that empower the birthing person and acknowledge the family unit as central to the birth experience. Through a 32-hour online training program, I earned my permit as a certified SMC Full Circle Doula by gaining skills in physical, emotional, and informational support for pregnant women, new mothers, and their families.

Program Support and Retail Coordinator

Daisy C.H.A.I.N. is a Eugene, Oregon-based nonprofit that has been a community leader in doula, lactation, pregnancy, birthing, and parenting resources by providing free, trauma-informed, culturally responsive support services to individuals and families in their reproductive years. I contributed to the operational infrastructure that makes their free community programs possible by coordinating their thrift store retail program, hosting drop-in donation hours, and supporting their Baby Pop Music Lessons.
